Any first hand info on water temperatures in Kingston and Rockport this week.

We tried to get in a Burleigh Falls, but bad idea. Dive was aborted.
The Talk about heavy current, wow! The water is up about a foot water was too
swift at the falls, and the other bays were frozen.

HEAVY CURRENT , yes LIKE Rip the tank off your back swift.
Would have been great if we were Kayakers (white water Kayakers that is!)

Yesterday I aborted a dive after equipment problems. Water temp was 36°F/2°C. We were diving in the mouth ofa bay just off Lake Ontario.

There was quite the wind and we all came ashore wet and were frozen with sheets of ice before hitting the vehicles. My buddy's zipper on his wetsuit was frozen solid and took a little warming before it would work.

Conastoage was 38F on the wreck and about 36F on the surface.

Brockville was 40F @ 40ffw.

Did I hear correctly??

Did those goons from Dans Dive do 200ft+ on air this past weekend in Rockport?

Nope, I couldn't make it, but you'll be happy to know, if I was, I'd be doing Trimix......... (Can I join your club now?)

I hear you and Kevin were though, weren't you?

I personally prefer the term stroke. Yes, my buddy and I dove to 200ft+++ on air on Sunday. It was a great dive but was a little cold on the deco. May come back in a couple of weeks and do it again. Viz was amazing at depth. Temp was still up to 39. Best of all was meeting some new people after the dive. Tom it was a pleasure and I hope to do some ice diving with you guys this February.
