Did I mentioned, the UDS-1 was not used by Cousteau and was never Calypso dive gear… :rolleyes:

I know you like the UDS-1, but this thread was about Cousteau equipment… the outer appearance of the UDS-1 was just a poor imitation to try to capitalize on the looks of the Cousteau “hydrodynamic pack” (the only actual resemblance was the yellow color). The Cousteau hydrodynamic pack was very different with a chest mounted double hose regulator, complete isolation reserve cylinder, etc. etc.

Sorry, but it kind of annoyed me that US Divers tried to pass the UDS-1 as been related to the Cousteau equipment. Calypso divers rarely used single hose regulators and never with any of their shell systems.
