I would like to dive on one of the war of 1812 shipwrecks in Lake Champlain. Does anyone know of a dive shop that has dive outings to one of these shipwrecks?

First you have to find somebody south of the Canadian border that's heard of the War of 1812.......
This guy dropped me on the Radeau in Lake George. Maybe he can trailer a boat to Lake Champlain for you?

I know that this thread is over a year old, but I just came into possession of a model of the Phildelphia, and has me interested in diving the lake.
I understand that the museum up there thinks that it has the authority to ban diving on the Gunboat Spitfire. Has anyone defied them and did a dive on her? I know that she is in no 300' like they claim and may be quite a bit shallower. Does anyone have information on this wreck or legal knowledge of the situation?

It is past the charter season now but Waterfront Diving Center in Burlington, VT is located on Lake Champlain and regularly runs charters throughout. Certainly be worth an inquiry.
