A buddy and I will be dragging our Pelagian rebreathers out to the Waome (Lake Muskoka) this Saturday (August 29) at 13:00. Meeting at the dock in Milford Bay and diving off Scuba Shack's pontoon boat. If you are in the area and up for a dive, and are interested in seeing what makes a diver controlled CCR work, we'd love to see you there.

Scuba Shack phone is (705) 687-5879... call them direct to book your spots.

Erik, Derek and I had a very relaxing dive on the wreck this past Saturday. It was the first time on it for the pair of them... and the 74th visit for me (I used to dive it regularly in the early 90s).

In any event, we spent 50-odd minutes exploring and ended up racking up a hour dive which was perfect for them to get a pretty good idea of what the old girl has to offer.

I was on her last summer and sadly was immediately struck with how badly she has taken the 14 or so years since I had last been on her. But both my buddies on Saturday were taken with how intact she is... so it must just be perception. Couple of very slight issues with one of the rebreathers but nothing that took any of us by surprise.

I'm not sure it used to be that dark down there! And it was nice to get above the thermocline!
