Hi,
I'm a new diver myself.
Next winter I plan on spending three weeks in Austrilla and New Zeland. I will dive the barrier reef and stay in Hostels, I've found them to be a great way to meet people.
If you interested I'll keep you posted.

Natasha has a good suggestion, the Bonaire trip will be fun with excellent diving and lots of opportunity to meet new buddies. You (and anyone else) should feel free to contact me if (when?) you head to Florida. I'm usually diving somewhere on weekends and there's usually room for more especially if we plan in advance.
