I have stayed at Hotel Cozumel in the past and thinking about Carible Blu from all the good recommendations. The walk downtown from Hotel Cozumel was just right to stretch my legs at night. Caribe Blu further south? How far?

This distance from Caribe Blu to Hotel Cozumel is a little bit less than one mile. Easy walking.

I'd have put it at about a half mile making it 1.5 miles to town. Not too bad unless your carrying a couple days supply of cerveza.

good thing there's a supermarket nearby then... :)

Nice walk to the market about 1.5 miles. Get everything you need for the week on the first trip. Take cab back. Next trips to town no packages to lug back so you can walk both ways. Or rent a bike or car---never a scooter, you will fall and get scraped or worse.

I saw on the web, maybe Caribe Blu's website, that it is 1.5 miles from the hotel to the town square.

I've stayed at both.

If you didn't mind walking from Hotel Cozumel, you probaby won't mind it from Caribe Blu either!!! (I didn't, my shoe choice did.) Just wear walking shoes!

Just got back from staying there. 1.5 or 2 miles, whats the big deal? Its an easy walk, or 30 pesos cab to the town square. Who can't afford 3 bucks when you feel lazy!?

Had an awesome time, great diving, wonderful people at Caribe Blu. Jorge was our diving host (way better than a Divemaster or guide). Ale puts on a top notch stay and they are continuing to improve and rebuild.

MMM:
Is Caribe Blu's pier repaired yet?

They were setting the pilings for it when I was there the second week in January. They were just about done. It's going to be much bigger and better than it was before, and they are going to deck it over with wood planks that they can remove in the event of an approaching storm.
