I've used in the past an Inon WAL and it worked so-so. There was slight blurring around the edges of the image. I've since sold it and am looking for a replacement.

I ordered the Oly WAL (PTWC-01 - which is advertised as an accessory to the PT-018) and after reading the FINE PRINT in the instructions, it says "If the lens is used in combination with the C-750 Ultra Zoom, the image's peripheral area may be distorted or blurred." :mischief:

I've noticed in another thread ( http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=53234&highlight=epoque+dcl-20 ) user "ukmidlands" used the Epoque WAL and had some very nice pics from Sharm.

Before I commit to the brand new Oly, does anyone out there have good info to share on this subject?

Patiently waiting... :06:

Several years ago when I converted to digital and was looking for a WAL, I decided to go with a S&S for several reasons. One major reason is I'd been using S&S lenses for a few years with my original MX-10 and then the MMII and had always been pleased with the quality of the lenses as well as the results. At that time I think INON and Oly were the only other brand Options and looking at lots of photos from each, both showed various levels of peripheral blurring. I use it for WACU as well and have noticed very little blurring when zoomed all the way in.

As I said, this was several years ago and the lens quality could have changed since then. I know nothing about the Epoch.
