Just in case some of you don't make it over to the Deep Dixie Divers forum, I thought I would post our video over here. This is a video of one of our recent trips to a cave in Wakulla County. This video shows that, sometimes just getting to the cave can be half the fun!

Awesome video! That looks like it was a killer dive. I'm sure it was a little rough on the back carrying those tanks through that mess but I'm sure it was worth it.

one of my favorite dives ever. any gators? there was one in the cavern last time I dove there

We didn't see any gators, Glen thought he heard one croaking though.

Beautiful place, looking forward to getting back :D

Awesome video!

bill rennaker got his drysuit shredded by one there :D

I was told he had an incident there...

Truth be told, I'm 100% coonass, the gators in Florida are just big lizards to me :) As long as you don't corner one(difficult if one has planted its ass in the cavern - LOL) or there isn't a nest around, they'll likely GTFO.

I'm far more afraid of some Wakulla Co redneck with a shotgun, sitting on the hunting plot after downing a case of the finest Pabst he could get ahold of, thinking that they own the rights to the spring... and "don't want no diver in his swimmin hole".

Hmmmm, sounds very similar to a story I heard a guy tell recently.:D

I was out in the lilies waist deep by myself, trying to get some butterfly pictures. I heard a pretty big ruckus in the weeds about 20 yards away. I decided to ease back over toward the open water of the spring. A few minutes later I heard that distinctive "groan", but I never saw him.
