Vyper Air connection to AL Legend 1rst stage

Has everyone managed to connect the transmitter of the Vyper air to the AL Legend LX 1rst stage without any problem ?
The way the 2 HP are positioned, makes it difficult, especially if you have a additional gauge as well (which i do).

Is it just me, or it is an expected problem that can only be solved adding a short hose/expander ?

I had a problem also.
Mine was due to a different (older) LP hose I was trying to use. Where the LP hose was crimped it had a ridge and the hex head was a bit larger so it wouldn't allow one or the other to thread in depending on the sequence you installed them.
My problem was solved luckily by having a LP from a newer SeaQuest BC lying around.
I wouldn't consider a solid extender just in case someone (boat DM, another diver) decided to use it as a lifting point.
