I installed the transmitter using silicon grease, should I have used Christo-Lube? And will it hurt damage the transmitter? I don't plan on using Nitrox for my setup.

Thanks to Mark Lane, of Oceanic Customer Service, for the quick response and helpful information. Great customer service!

What was the answer?

I have read in this forum that static O-rings don't even need lubed? The instructions say to use Christo Lube on page 148 when installing the transmitter.

I chose to intall before reading, my mistake.

Here's the response from Oceanic Customer Service:

"The use of silicone grease on your transmitter o-ring will not damage
your first stage, nor will it cause problems if you dive Nitrox in the
future. As the transmitter o-ring is external to the first stage, it is
not necessary to use Christo-Lube at this port connection. We use
Christo-Lube on all internal regulator o-rings to make the regulator
Nitrox compatible with mixes up to 40% O2, but this will not be affected
by using silicone grease at an external port. "
