Wow, that Avalon reg photo brought back memories of my first regulator, a Voit Avalon (version 1) which I bought in 1965. Simple and pretty much foolproof. Wish I had kept it, but it became impractical to transport through 13 changes of duty assignments during a 20 year Air Force career, and with a very tight shipping allowance. My wife finally asked me when was the last time I used it, my answer "25 years ago" pretty much doomed it and my 72 cf tank to the donate pile. Oh well, I like my 2009 era SP regs much better.
