Hi,
just wanted to give You all a brief update; this week we have reached the milestone of 500 subscribers and surpassed the 1,000 virtual dives mark (actually You have already surpassed the 1,100 mark !)

Congratulations to all of You.

Four of You are closely battling for the Grand Prize (a set of 2 full face masks WITH underwater communicators from OceanReef).

Few more days left in August, who is going to win the Atomic M1 Regulator ?

This week's prize is a 3mm wetsuit from AquaFlex.

We are still working hard on the development of the virtual dive sites of Shaw's Cove ... this is going to be a difficult one!:(

We have also started the development of the virtual dive site of the Olympic II. ;)
We would like to thank the California Wreck Divers and Steve Lawson in particular for supporting this project.:blinking:

Make sure that Your virtual dives are at least 5 minutes long and visit at least two "points of interest". Also, PRESS THE "I" KEY to view a still photo of the "point of interest." otherwise the point of interest is not logged.
Last but not least, make sure that You exit the virtual dive by pressing "ESCAPE" and following instructions on the screen.

Instructors and Dive Shops, to qualify for the cash prizes ($500 and $1,000 respectively) make sure that your students do enter your eDive Instructor Code and/or eDive Shop Code when they register for the eDiving service.

The eDiving service is free to divers and currently allows eDivers to 'virtually' dive the following sites:

* Ship Rock, Catalina Island
* Isthmus Reef, Catalina Island
* Veteran's Park, Redondo Beach California
* The Avalon Underwater Park, at Catalina
* The HMCS Yukon in San Diego
* Vallecitos Point, La Jolla Shores
* Bird Rock, Catalina Island
* with new eDive sites added through the end of 2008.

Make sure to try out the free eDiving service before the eDiving Summer Contest ends on September 30, 2008 by going to http://www.ediving.us
