TDI also has a visual inspection cert class if you can't get PSI instructor scheduled.

Good point Jim. That's the route I went. I found PSI over priced and their courses are too broken up. I did TDI's VIP course and we covered not only tank VIPs, but also valve tear down/rebuild as well. Those are two separate course in the PSI curriculum and each costs more than my TDI VIP course cost.

Now PSI will try and tell you that they are the only ones allowed to teach VIP courses. Who says? The scuba tank gods? The scuba police? That's pure bunk. They act like they are the only players in town, and they surely are bullies about it in my experience, but it's not true. They do have a corner on the market, but they are not the only agency who can train you to do cylinder VIPs.
