I have finished the long videos for boat diving days...
here is the link to my Mexico album:
Mexico - Cozumel and the Yucatan Peninsula on Vimeo
I am now working on one short "Best of Cozumel" diving video, clips from all those longer ones and a "Cozumel - shore diving at SCC" video.
I am really pleased with the HD quality of my camcorder! (I have only used it here in fresh water for a few dives and in Calif for a few dives in low vis water last Sept) As you can see from the boat dive videos, I am down to 80' depths getting crystal clear footage and good color just using just the red filter, or I am in ripping current and still getting clear images, no pixelated blurry mess.
The Canon HG-21 is really impressing me in every respect! I am recording at highest quality: 1920 x 1080 In editing I am only tweaking the white balance slightly and some shots I have toned down the brightness.
The Hg-21 has internal memory hard drive (never came close to running out of room) but I was saving daily onto a card and transferring to my Seagate portable drive each night just as a backup. This gave me peace of mind, especially after my fubar with my last camcorder in Roatan.
well, back to editing...
