Not that I really care anymore, but does anyone around here have any insight or opinion as to why this model, unlike the Conshelf series, failed in the market to where Aqua Lung has orphaned it? I can only guess that it was either poorly marketed or there was some kind of fatal technical flaw. It seems like such a high quality regulator too, if kinda funky in appearance. Also curious who it's intended market was.

cheers

It's not so much that the Pro Diver series was flawed, it's just that the Conshelf series, expecially the 14, was so perfect. The 14 (and the 14 Supreme) is still used/favored by navy divers everywhere; and, there are those that still favor a mostly metal 2'nd stage. The Pro was just replaced by new and better...
