Versa Pro dead

Hi, I changed the battery on my Versa pro, and it turns on and then off immediately, so I thought it was a bad new battery. Changed it with another new one, and turned on the countdown, then I looked at the saved dives and everything was ok, but then like 10 minutes later it turned off again, like it had a dead battery. So its eating down all the new batteries. Is there a short circuit or something?

It sounds like it's dying, that's pretty much what mine did. Oceanic replaced it for $110 and then I found another one with just a few dives for sale for $100 here on SB so now I have a back up.

Checkout the thread on the VEO 250 computers also, seems to be a common quality issue with Oceanic computers.
