I sent this e-mail to Oceanic, but thought I'd post here cuz I'm impatient for an answer and maybe someone here can answer it faster! LOL

I used my dive computer for the first time yesterday. All appears to be well with it, except it did something I wasn't expecting: It continued scrolling thru no deco times AFTER I was at depth - isn't it supposed to STAY on whatever dive mode display you want? I have read nothing as of yet to indicate that it should continue to scroll DURING the dive. (before, yes, but not during) If I pressed the control button during the dive, I would get the correct dive mode screen (#1), and I was able to toggle between the three dive mode screens. But it always reverted back to the no deco scrolling. Very annoying to have to press a button just to get dive info!

What's up with this? Doesn't sound right. I need to know if this computer is defective or if I am doing something wrong...

Anyone have any ideas? I fail to see the efficacy of scrolling thru PRE-DIVE planning info DURING the dive... Hmmm. Any help is appreciated. I will take it back to where I bought it, but wanted to know if I'm missing something here before I go into battle.

Did you by chance turn wet activation OFF? If you did, your computer would still stay in the surface modes even when you dive unless you hit the button to start the dive mode.

Nope....wet activation is on.

You were in dive planning mode when you began your dive. That's why the computer kept going back to it.

You must begin your dive in a dive mode, not a planning mode.
