I've always seen a plain needle used, inserted into the swim bladder through the anus.

a. everybody else is venting
b. it's fun and educational for the whole family

i have the reef id books... so i look at the ones i want.... consault with FWC to confirm it is ok... but they couldn't tell me how to vent...lol
