UTD released a brand new educational class last week. UTD Critique Workshop! (UTD Student Critique Workshop · UTD Scuba Diving) This is a fantastic class/workshop for all divers, wether you be a UTD student or a diver from another agency. The class allows you the diver to develop a skill or gain knowledge through a remote learning platform. Let say you want to prepare for your next class (Essentials, Fundamentals, Intro to...) and instead of showing up unprepared, you can take this class from a UTD Instructor without them been present. You simply sign up for the class, work with them in an initial online meeting covering your objectives - Let's say - Learn proper trim and buoyancy) and then over the next few months (up to 1 year) the UTD Instructor will have you work one on one developing that in -water skill set. You simply practice and then shoot video, upload it to the secure server critique classroom, and then send the instructor a note. They then, in their own time, jump online, and provide feed back which is layered on top of the video. This feedback is either written, voice and/or video. The best part is it is synced to the video timeline, so you can see the positive, neutral or negative feedback at the perfect place on the video that you made the mistake or did something right.. Then once completed, the UTD instructor sends you a note, you review their critique, practice more, shoot video and do it again. This back and fourth continues for up to 4 sessions or 1 year. All this gives you a chance to be better prepared for a class. Or maybe even after the class you want to refine a skills, or maybe you not interested in a class but want feedback on your Backward Kicks from a professional Instructor. The possibilities are endless. The best part it is all remote and at your and their convenience. Take a look at Jeff Seckendorf vblog (vblog: UTD Critique Class · UTD Scuba Diving)or link UTD Student Critique Workshop · UTD Scuba Diving and let us know what you think.
