Getting the dive gear ready for the summer. On a pony tank we use for hookah diving as well as just screwing around the reefs, the valve is getting hard to turn open/closed.


Is that a simple service to repair and somewhat of a minor cost? I can get a replacement valve for around $30.

Valve likely needs cleaned and rebuilt. Kits like this are what is required:Valves - Valve Repair Parts - Standard Valve Parts - Standard Valve Rebuild Kit - Northeast Scuba Supply

Just pay attention to how you take it apart. And some googling will likely turn up instructions.
