Anyone used the Oxy2 with a Dolphin RB? Is it useful?

TJO once bubbled...
Anyone used the Oxy2 with a Dolphin RB? Is it useful?

As its quite easy to overbreath it on the surface and it suffers from a common problem of blocked jets which drops the O2 level, its almost essential to have a way of monitoring your PPO2

As the saying goes on any rebreather "Always know you PO2"

Why not join the Dreager unofficial forums at http://www.smartgroups.com/groups/draeger and ask there.

Most members have the combination you suggest. Very popular and works well. The VR3 is also becomming popular and has a dreager adapter but does deep stops

Thanks madmole. I will have a look and ask there. Perhaps it is already covered. I already own a Uwatec and want to stick to that one if possible (even if the VR3 seems to be popular).

Having spent a year diving the Dolphin with the Oxy o2, i can assure you it very usefull, without knowing what computer you have, you may have to get the Aladin o2, but you will find it very usefull indeed.

All the best
Laurence.

Thanks. I have the Aladin o2 computer and thought of buying the Oxy2 before I take the Dolphin course.

Hi TJO

If you do decide to get one check out the prices carefully, im not sure but you may get one cheaper from the states or even here, check out

They often sell lots of Drager stuff on there & they are very helpfull if you need any advice about your unit.

All the best
