uw old slr strobes will lock up new dslr bodies?

I see that's why u instructed me to pull the contacts. hmm. unless ofcourse I'll get those old non-ttl sync cords with only a couple pins. will that work?

Cords without blue bands (old product #4103 and #4103.2) are 4-conductor, not 2-conductor. The information regarding covering pins with tape refers to using either compatible DS substrobes with Ikelite dSLR housings, or Ikelite TTL strobes with a non-Ikelite digital housing with Nikonos connector.
