The San Diego Underwater Photographic Society (SDUPS), in conjunction with its 40th Film Festival is sponsoring a worldwide underwater film competition that includes a $500 first place prize.
This competition is open to any underwater film maker. The winner will be determined by audience vote on April 25, 2009 during SDUPS 40th Film Festival. The event will be held in San Diego, California at Qualcomm Hall which features a state-of-the-art high definition projection system. Entries consisting of either videos or digital slide shows or a mixture of video and digital stills are encouraged.
The films are limited in time to 5 minutes and must contain at least 70% underwater content. Complete contest rules and entry forms are available at "www . sdupsfilm . com" Deadline for entries is February 13, 2009.
