Dove a couple of times today...At Rocky Point..100 ft dive, ( tried to go to Blackish Point today but the vis in the area wasnt good enought to find it from the boat..since it doesnt have a bouy...we tried for about an hour!) I seen an eagle ray, a sea turtle, a grouper and some squid plus a ton of fish and and nice coral. Loads of small critters at Moon Hole ( where we stopped for PPB) if u get your face in the sandy bottom and move slowly or wait.... Night dive tomorrow, then a couple more specialty dives...wreck and photography and my my advanced course is done, then on to Nitrox training and fun dives. Couple of instructers are trying to get me to just do the dive master course which encompasses a lot of diving but is cheaper than paying for fun dives...Who knows what ill do...they say i can push through it in a month! The water is simply breathtaking and like glass, with Vis at about 100 feet. The diving is very safe and professional but fun. All the people at Cross Creek dive center and just awesome. Today after my dive i moved into a cabana...2 beds a tv... a REAL airconditioner and a little fridge...also a private bathroom..still cold showers only but believe me its perfect that way, it feels like its 107 with the humidity, really its only 88... the water is like bathwater..even at 100 feet. Ive became used to the town..at first the sights and people and smells of food from street vendors was a bit overwhelming...now i feel right at home...i go to the local markets when ever i need something and they are well stocked but small. all the locals are friendly. At times i feel like im in a james bond film..LOL Im hoping in my new living arrangements the damn rooster across the way doesnt wake me up everymorning at 5am like it has for the past 2 days..but its better than the alarm clock LOL.. Our kids have it sooo lucky..the kids here work..at the family little store or dive shop or wherever they can..ive seen kids as young as 5-6 taking out the trash..sweeping the streets in front of stores etc...mine yelp when they have to do some laundry...they have NO idea! Last night coming home from coco Loco i ate either chicken or iguana on a stick..LMAO not sure which one..but it came with a huge portion of rice/beans and a small baked potato at one of the local small restaurants..regardless it was great!
Love the people..love the place..love the diving..
ill keep ya posted

Atta boy. Fitting right in and figuring out what its all about.

Keep having a ball and keep reminding me I need to get back.

The DM training is a pretty good deal. You'll be a much better diver after the course. I recommend it. One thing to remember however, there is a lot of book work involved. Depending upon your study habits, it could seriously cut into your available dive time.

Your great reporting makes me remember the great times I had doing the DM and Instructor training. Regardless of what you chose, have a great time.
