I have recently purchased an Ikelite housing and Ikelite DS-125 strobe for use with my Canon 30D DSLR. I also have an Inon D-2000 from my P&S setup. I want to use both strobes together for wide angle shooting and have questions re: effect of differences in strobe color temperatures.
The DS-125 has a color temperature of 4800 ° Kelvin while the Inon D-2000 has a color temperature of 5500 ° Kelvin.
Any recommedations for use of these strobes together? Should I consider using a colored diffuser to bring color temperatures closer together (I have a blue diffuser for the inon D-2000 which corrects colors from my Canon SD870 P&S which tends to have red/yellow tint).
Ike DS-125 will be in TTL with Inon D-2000 in slave mode. I can get a custom fiber cable made to connect the strobes to avoid other strobes near by triggering the D-2000. I'll likely try without it and see if its needed.
Any suggestions?
