Using gropro 3 black editionn

Hello Everyone,

Im new to SB. This is my first post.

I just got my new GoPro 3 Black Edition. I was reading around for the best format to use when diving. Being new to
photography, I decided that shooting at 720 with 60 fps is fine. I will be going on a Liveaboard trip to the Red Sea.
Brothers Islands.

Has anyone used a GoPro in those locations? What settings did you use?

I also purchased a Red Filter but after some reading I understand it wont help after 10 - 15 meters. Is this correct?

Basically, I just need to know how to get myself started without having to look like a retard
