Using elite 2 harness without the shoulder pads?

Yeah, my harness is not adjustable like that because my shoulder pads are definitely not adjustable to that extent. I was told that mine was the Elite 2 but I guess someone was mistaken. Ooooops...Oh well, not a big deal. I traded out the harness for a simple harness and had issues with getting it on/off so I swapped that out for a Deep Outdoors harness which I absolutely love. Now I am curious as to which harness I actually got.
