Another example of the IWC (International Whaling Commission) displaying its weak-kneed roots. Honestly, does Japan own the commission? Japan regularly buys delegates to sway decision. It upset me to think that South Korea now wants to get in the game. I can understand the feckless government of North wanting to institute a hunt, but the South certainly doesn't need it.

We may start whaling if Japan gets to: S. Korea

Additionally, this tactical move is probably because of the enormous expenditures to hunt at the Antarctic sanctuary hugely exacerbated by Sea Shepherd's continuous opposition.
