My question is this: How many dives are considered ALOT when looking at buying a used drysuit?

I am looking to buy a used suit for my wife and without alot of knowledge of drysuits I would perfere not buying one that is got 200,000 miles on it. I realize that how someone takes care of it is just as important. But if anyone could offer some sort of measuring stick for me that would be appreciated.

Really depends on the suit, the environment and the care of the owner. Most things can be repaired but its whether you want to be bothered. It could end up costing as much as new. The whites fusion one is a great suit at an unbeatable price, also, some shops sell off their rentals at good prices, we are selling our whites fusion sports for $599 right now.

As a reasonable rule of thumb, I think you can be worrying about the integrity of the zipper if the suit has seen over three hundred dives. Of course, poor care can make one fail earlier, but the lifespan of a zipper is somewhere in the 3 to 500 dive range, even if well treated. Seals need to be changed earlier than that, but replacing seals is neither difficult nor expensive. Other issues, like material delamination, are probably more related to the age of the suit than the number of times it's been in the water.

Of course, neoprene suits suffer from the compression/decompression cycle, and I don't think I'd even look at a neoprene suit that had a couple hundred dives on it.

"we are selling our whites fusion sports for $599 right now." Can you tell me more about this and what I get for that price,
My LDS only sells DUI and I own a DUI FLX 50/50. I dont know much about whites fusion. Except LDS said they propably will not be selling them as they didnt care for them.
