I just don't log dives
timg, myself and mike joined bob on his 38FT vessel offshore KL today. sunny skies, breezy, seas 2-3FT(occasional 4FT early). 1st dive, the DUANE, buoy D3(stern), top to bottom blue viz 100FT+, zero current increasing to light, water temp 84F @ 60-110FT. bull shark, 2 reefs and nurse, 2 goliath grouper, fish everywhere. 2nd, MOLASSES reef buoy M19(permit ledge, pillars, deep south). again great viz 80FT, zero current, 85F @ 23-35FT. 0 divers both dives. nice eagle ray, reef/nurse shark and large schooling barracuda activity. overall, damn near world class dives in our own backyard! pics from timg,,,,,,

Excellent as usual - looks like you had great visibility!

BTW - I do hate to see the shark with that giant hook stuck in it's mouth!
Thank you Joneill. Yes, I see hooks in sharks and barracudas just about every dive - even saw one in a snapper today. The leader on the hook today in that shark was probably 10 - 12 feet long, trailing behind it. I saw a cuda the other day with a steel weight still attached, and it was stuck between rocks on the reef. He struggled but worked himself free. Sad to see, but the Keys are dominated by commercial and recreational fishing.
