Was just interested to see if it was much differant to the the rules in Australia

Ahh you blokes have your act together over there. Here in the states, the rules change with every different state. But it gets even better, sometimes our rules change with every county and then even sometimes within a county. You could catch a lobster in one spot and be perfectly legal, but if you put it in your boat and turn the wrong way by a mile or two, you could be fined and arrested.

They don't make it easy and the rules change all the time, so it takes alot of research. Probably like everywhere else in the world, local knowledge is critical and it pays to talk to the guys at the docks. Just a brief example is Florida and California. In Florida we can use certain tools and sticks to catch them. But in California you can only use your hands in most cases while diving.

Over on Spearboard we are attempting to organize a list of all the regulating agency's all over the world to provide an easy to find resource. If you can add in your agency's website link to Australia that would be a huge help.
