I'm a Fish!
Greetings Urchin Divers!
This is the dive planning thread where upcoming purple urchin removal dives will be announced. I figured it would be easier to keep one thread going regarding upcoming dives rather than start a new thread each time. That way you can subscribe to this thread and get email alerts anytime a new post is made in this thread.
I will also edit the title each time a dive is coming up so you can glance at it and see the date.
Thanks so much,
Eric

Greetings all you Purpetrators,
Heads up!
Just a reminder, we have a dive coming up on 9/28 at Stillwater Cove.
Meet time is 8:00 -9:00
Please be there at 8:00 if you're new and haven't dived with us before so you can fill out the paperwork and sign the waiver.
If you have any questions at all please just ask.
Please read the stickies I have at the top of this forum to get an idea of what we do and the gear requirements.
Thanks!

Good Saturday morning urchin divers,
Tomorrow's dive has been canceled.
The ocean forecast is just a little over our safety threshold so we'll move it forward a week.
Thank you.
Eric

I forgot to post up here about today (Sunday 10/12) but the dive was cancelled.
The conditions are over the safety threshold.
We're looking at 10/19 hoping it will be nice 😉
Thanks
Eric

Hey folks,
I'm planning on diving Stillwater on Sunday 10/19.
I know that several of you are going to be urchin diving and doing the Ft.Ross harvest festival on Saturday, so doing Sunday might be too much? With that in mind and depending on how many people we get, I may just do a few recon dives to survey the cove. I need to retrieve some buoys and maybe re-set them on some new hot spots. I also want to check on whether the last clearing efforts at the buoys are holding or if urchins have moved back in.
If you plan to go please post up and let me know.
If I get enough people showing up we will do a regular removal operation and I'll bring all the stuff, but I need to know.
So if you plan to go please don't be silent.
Thanks!
