Update on Channel Island Scuba

I pass by this location about twice a week. Today, I noticed a sheet of paper hanging on the window that hadn't been there before.

It said that the store was reopening and if there were questions to call Chris Emch @

Oh well, that's all I know...

Oh, I know Chris! If it's the Chris I think it is...He was one of my AOW instructors. I think he worked there...I know he and Mike were friends. We saw him at the shop a few times. Really great guy. I wonder if he bought it from Mike's family?

Honest, I have nothing to do with Channel Islands Scuba... But, I do pass by it several times a week.

When I went by today I noticed they were open for business with gear displayed.

Wow...I stopped by there just this past weekend and it was still empty, with that same notice in the window! That was fast. Well, I'm glad to see that it's opened up, and I wish Chris all the best in making a go of it. We really enjoyed having him as one of our instructors, and I hope this works out for him.
