I wanted to let everyone know that I have a few new training opportunities that I have recently posted on my website at:

Course Dates — Jason Wright Scuba

I have some GUE courses and PADI Equipment Specialist and Gas Blender courses scheduled over the next couple of months. Email me at jason@gue.com if you are interested in signing up or have any questions.

I'd like to be sure and let everyone know that I will be out at Lewisville ISD Westside Aquatic Center this Saturday Jan 9th from 9am to 2pm doing a "Discover GUE" session. I will be discussing the GUE equipment configuration and demonstrating propulsion techniques and some of the skills that we do in GUE fundamentals courses. You are welcome to dive your normal gear or if you want to try out a backplate and wing or long hose, just let me know and I will bring some stuff for you to try out. All you need to participate is an openwater card and to sign a our standard diving waiver/medical questionnaire. Cost is $10. Here is a link:

I still have some spots available in my PADI Equipment Specialist Class (Feb 6) and PADI Gas Blender Class (Feb 7). These are great classes to do in the winter time (no diving required) and are some of my favorite classes to teach.

Email me at jason@gue.com if you want to sign up. More info can be found at my website:

Course Dates

If you are interested in GUE courses, I will be doing a presentation on what all is going on with GUE, both locally and abroad. It starts at 5:30pm next Sat Feb 6. If you plan on coming, please email me and I'll get you on the sign up list.

If you are interested in GUE and none of these dates work for you, let me know and we can set up dive session that fits into your schedule.

Thanks,

Jason Wright

I still have some spots available in a GUE Fundamentals Part 1 course. This course will be done in pools (=warm water) here in the DFW area and can be done in a single tank and wetsuit. This is an excellent course for improving your buoyancy, trim, and propulsion skills. It starts Friday evening March 11th at Aqua Trek Scuba in Fort Worth and finishes on Sunday evening March 13th. Pool locations are yet to be finalized. Shoot me an email at jason@gue.com for more info.

Course sign up page is on the GUE website:

I really enjoyed all the good times we had diving together "back in the day". We had a few really good laughs. some even at Alan's expense. Who can forget the infamous, Texdiveguy dancing on the table at Joe's Crab Shack?

I had recently chatted with him about scuba, religion, and sought advice from him on another issue that he had extensive knowledge and experience with. Elder care. He helped and supported his family in every way possible. I am sure his family will miss him a great deal.

The sirens have you now, Alan. Rest easy.
