Underwater Reef Clean Up Event in Kota Kinabalu on 4th December 2011
On the fourth day of Christmas my true love brought to me – a cleaner underwater world, forget the Calling Birds!
If you are a certified diver and you will be in Kota Kinabalu at the start of December, then make a difference and join the 7th Underwater Reef Clean Up Event organised by Borneo Dream in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park near Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
Join in this marine conservation effort in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. We will be running a diving day trip to Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park (TARP). During the event we will run two dives cleaning up coral reefs in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. Divers will be split into groups each cleaning specific sites which have marine debris on them (including removal of fishing nets). There will also be a managed Crown of Thorns clean up dive under the experienced leadership of Dr. Nick Pilcher from Marine Research Foundation.
As per our previous Reef Clean up event, we plan to work in partnership with Marine Research Foundation, Sabah Parks and the Pacific Sutera Marina team to deliver a positive and successful underwater clean up event.
If you’d like to more information on this event, or to reserve a place, then please contact Joanne at info@borneodream.com
