David Gilchrist, of Niagara on the Lake, has been involved in SCUBA diving for over 4 decades. For many of those years he has been diving with a camera in his hands. A small collection of his underwater photographs are on display during the month of November at the Niagara on the Lake Public Library.
The collection of images are Cibachrome prints from 35 mm transparencies. The photographic prints depict underwater life in the temperate Canadian waters from 3 locations: the East coast at Cape Breton Island, The High Arctic at Resolute Bay, Cornwallis Island, Nunavut and at Haida Gwaii or the Queen Charlotte Islands off the coast of British Columbia.
