Looking for a very accurate (1 foot to 20 foot range) underwater distance measuring device, like a stand-alone rangefinder, or something like that, depth rated to about 100 feet. We need something that will show actual distance (as if we used a tape measure) and can be read easily. Anyone know of anything off the shelf?

Ummm Tape Measure? It would flood but I think it would be ok.

Seriously how about a water proof case for a laser?

Why not just take a spool and mark "inches" and "Feet" on it? By the time you have wrote your measurements down, your buddy can move the setup to the beginning of the next measurement. Much Cheaper......
