After Buka Buka we transfered by speedboat direct to the next destination Una Una avoiding a longer travel with stopover in Wakai.
The resort under french managment at Una Una is less luxary compared to Buka Buka , although it has a small pool, and therefore more inexspensive. We choosed the newer seafront bungalow, which was really nice, clean and had a great terasse in front.
Due to the fact, that the resort has some basic rooms with shared bathroom it is very popular in the backpacker scene.
Unusul for Indonesia: drinking water from the tap in your room.
The exceptional fact about the diving is: there is only Nitrox. If you do a certan amount of dives you automaticly get without extra cost the Nitrox certificate.
The dive spots are from Wall to Slope and seamount. Moore Fish than in Buka Buka and also some small stuff. A big stationary baracuda school forming a Tornado at on place.
And as one Highligh the so called black forrest a extremly old Reef section, with only one kind of hard Corall.
The diving is in small groups with an extensive briefing, two tank in the morning and one in the afternoon. Nightdive on request minimum two diver.
On Una Una is a vulcano and the relativ easy climb is definatly worth for to skip one day of diving or for the last day. Impressive geyser activity there.
