My fiance and I are starting to research a honeymoon trip to take place around the end of 2011. We've both traveled extensively around the caribbean and we're looking for something different. We'd like to do a 2 week trip or as long as our budget will afford. We're not looking to make it just a dive trip although we'll be bringing our dive gear and would like to do at least 6 days of diving, maybe more. We're also interested in hiking, rock climbing, and archaeological points of interest throughout SE Asia. Most importantly we're not interested in sites with a ton of tourists or sites that are "tourist traps". We like to wonder off the beaten path. With a budget of about $5,000 (excluding airfare) where would you go and what would you see?
