I was wondering whether anyone has any comparison of UK eLed C4 to eLed C8.

I'm concerned about lugging 8 C batteries if the C4 puts out the same light, but for less time.

Do you get more light from the C8 compared to C4? Or just longer burn time?

Ha ha, you can use the handy dandy new auto-reference function! Just scroll down to the bottom of this page, and you'll see a coterie of related threads already picked out for you! I see three or four threads on this topic.

Short answer is the the C4 is never as bright as the c8 but it's "close".

UK web page has a graph of light output over time for both the C4 and C8.

I bought a eLed C8 and swap the LED lamp unit between my C4 and the eLed C8. The C8 is definately brighter. I prefer the white light at night. During the day I use the C4 or the eLed with the normal light bulb.

Thanks for the great link, I wish they'd included the C4 w/ 4 alkalines, but I can probably guess-timate based on the numbers for the C8.

ShakaZulu, that sounds like a good compromise. I thought saw a bundled pack w/ a C8, C4 and a penlight at DiversDirect in Orlando, but it must've been the princeton...
