UK C8 Question

The C8 is advertised as having a high and low output setting.

The spec page on the Xenon model states

output on akaline batteries: 338 lm
output onLR14 rechargable battery: 638 lm (high) /355 lm (low)

So this light only has high low functionality if the optional $148 upgrade kit is purchased?

Ok,
Got an answer from UK. The C8 on alkaline batteries has one power setting: low(338lm) but has dual filaments so there is a backup cpability.

With the LR14 rechargable upgrade you have both high and low outputs available.

Or you could just look at the C8 eLED. If you look at the specs from UK, the eLED version has high/low output options for both alkaline and chargeable batteries.
