After the last video I posted I don't know why I bother lol. But this is some really amazing footage that I am proud of. In particular a hawksbill turtle that was feeding on a sponge and dropped a piece of sponge over the ledge . The Dive Master caught the piece of sponge mid flight on the way down and held it for the turtle as the turtle broke of small bite size chunks and swallowed. I also gave the dive master a second GoPro on a pole to film and he got some great footage also that we spliced together with my footage.

Turtle is at 2:31 but if you have time watch the whole thing. :) If you have a comment play nice please :)

Disclaimer: No turtles or Sharks were harmed during this film.

Hello Gearbow.

You had some nice shots in there. I liked the eagle ray.

A few comments and options you might want to experiment with on your next video:
- get a filter. it will help with the colors in your wide angle shots
- the video was long. maybe make it shorter or split it up into separate videos
- some shots seem to serve no purpose or were in the wrong sequence
- music changes at the beginning were abrupt
- experiment with trying to tell a story, narration, interviews, written text, showing scenes in a very specific order, connecting the music to the scene, etc..

Just my opinions. Most important thing is to have fun with the dive and the editing.

Thank you Ron. All good points. For now what I have been doing is throwing together shots from what dive I did that day quickly with little time really spent on editing. I will try to make a video soon that plays to the music and such and try to spend a little more time in editing I do see your point about leaving a little more footage on the cutting room floor. What do you use for you edit program. I do like your narration and documentary like style videos?

By the way Ron, your videos are sooo good!!!! Thanks, keep them coming!!!

Thanks for the compliments. I learned a lot by watching other people's videos. Amateur and professional. Paid attention to what I liked and disliked to make my own style. Shooting, editing and making a video is a great way to express your creative side.

I used to edit with Sony Vegas. Recently switch to Adobe Premiere. Both are very good programs. What do you edit with ?
