what is a turtle kick?

I don't know.... but if the name is descriptive I would have to say it involves waving all four appendages like oars...

I use my Turtle Fins to do the frog kick but this hardly qualifies as a turtle kick as I don't use my hands and my feet only kick every so often between glides...

Never seen a turtle kick... they swim with their forelegs (arms) and use their hind legs (feet?) as rudders. Can't imagine what a turtle kick might be.

I was just curious as I ran across the term in a DIR thread. I've heard of the frog kick and I've heard of the turtle fins but had never heard of a turtle kick.

in my experience, a turtle kick is where you keep your knees more or less stiff and kick with your ankles, using your fins like in a frog kick. I like to use it when I am upside-down looking in crevasses because it allows me to move rather precisely in a full range.
