Ok, so i have decided on one of these two destinations for a trip around May. Can anyone help me make the final decision. How was the: diving, Island life, hotels, General Cost of Items Ect ?

Thanks.

How much do you want to spend on food and lodging? For the money, TCI is probably a better deal, but the diving in Caymans is awesome. I spent a week in TCI on a liveaboard this year, and the diving was excellent. Great vis, nice water temps, lots of sealife. Caymans is a more upscale location. Personally, I like Sunset House for the unlimited offshore diving and accommodations. I think you can even take an u/w photo class with Cathy Church there. Either way, you won't be disappointed with the diving. You will pay more in Cayman.

The one difference between Turks and Cayman's is the depth to the top of the reef. Most dives in the Turks is about 50+ to the top of the reef; this will limit your depth over the walls---no big deal--the reefs are great. The top of the reef in the Cayman's is about 25-30'. Also, you are more likely to see bigger critters in the Turks than Caymans. I would highly recommend Little Cayman Beach Resort. Great diving, excellent food, and very nice accommodations, short runs to Bloody Bay Wall, lots of reef life.

A few years back, we did Cayman Brac. Great for divers, limited for non-divers. It's a very laid back place with great diving on the Brac and the dive operators run trips to Bloody Bay Wall (Little Cayman). Lots of great shore dives too. Divi (with non-diving activities) was still operating when I was there, but have since left. I don't know if the other resorts have picked up on the nono-diving activities. If you have a non-diver who snorkels they should have an enjoyable time, but if they don't swim or snorkel they may be limited in activities. There are some things to see on the Brac (caves and the bluff), but not much else so if they aren't swimmers either, I'd focus on Grand Cayman or look to TCI. (Haven't been to TCI, but hope to go soon.

Little Cayman Beach Resort

triple ditto here...you will not regret diving Bloody Bay Wall.........look it(BBW diving) up on youtube, it's nice.........GEAUX TIGERS.................

Bloody Bay Wall in Little Cayman gets my vote. Dove there Jan. 2006 on a day trip from Reef Divers in Cayman Brac. The awesome coloring of coral on the wall blew me away. Not to mention the fact that you're hovering above the abyss of the Cayman Trench which is an adrenaline rush in itself. Recommend Little Cayman Beach Resort or Pirates Point Resort, both located on Little Cayman. Both have great food and service.

I have been to Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, Little Cayman and Provo TC. Hands down, provided you are not interested in nightlife, would be Little Cayman. (second choice Cayman Brac)

By far, the diving on Little Cayman is superior to the others. A combo package of Cayman Brac/Little Cayman is still hands down better than Provo.

To me Provo is trying to create itself as a chic Grand Cayman with the glitzy resorts, psuedo high brow restaurants and galleries. You can definitely tell they have organized their infrastructure with the almighty dollar in mind....that is, to amass as many as they possible can from your pocket while you are there.

Go to Little Cayman, take several books, your dive gear and slow down and enjoy the peaceful lifestyle for a week of spectacular diving, second to none in the Caribbean.

Only been to Grand Cayman, but really enjoyed the diving, boat and shore. Great people too.
