Four of us just came back from a beautiful trip to the Turks and Caicos, highly recommended.

Welcome to Scubaboard! Please provide more information.

Did I miss the part where you recommend someone? Would love more info.

We too just got back from a trip to Turks and Caicos with a word of advice: go local! We did two separate dive trips with "Ocean Vibes" which is owned and operated by a Turks native named Wayne (and his awesome associate JR). He provides the best boat, service and most importantly the best dive experience on the Island. Thank God our hotel, the Palms, recommended it to our group. They took us to four different dive sites: two in Grace Bay and two at North Point---wall dives. Their attention to service and detail was stellar both on the boat and below. We knew they were highly regarded by local divers because on our second trip with them they had a technical diver instructor (she teaches "rebreather" system diving from O2 Technical Diving), Ariane, joining us on the wall dives.

How do we know they are the best?

1. They take out only small groups (no 20 to 30 people on their boats)
2. They don't ignore you and actually seem to enjoy your company (unlike BIG BLUE--another dive operation in the Turks that we did per the recommmendation from our hotel---though the dive sites were good)
3. They don't leave you stranded after the dive with no boat or let other divers get caught in a current that takes them 20 minutes from the dive site
4. They actually take the time to review the dive site *before* you dive
5. Their equipment is great working condition and does not fail during the dive
6. They love diving and it shows!

Enjoy the diving in Turks and Caicos, dive with Ocean Vibes!

Great Restaurants: Caicos Cafe, Bella Luna, Hemmingways, Latitude 23, Iguana's

Welcome to Scubaboard! Sorry you had a bad experience with Big Blue. Where did you dive? West Caicos? French Cay? Pine Cay? Northwest Point? Grace Bay?

We dove in Grace Bay. The dive sites they took us to were actually quite good, I beleive they were called "end zone" and "Stadium"

You ought to go back and dive West Caicos and French Cay. Grace Bay is average for Caribbean diving. You need to get out to the walls to really experience TCI diving.
