Anybody, other tha Uncle Pug...dive off of the Tui Tai?

Hi: Yes, we dove from the Tui Tai last September and it was great! Because the boat goes so far North you get in some dive sites that most people don't get to dive. The smaller boats that take you out are great and gear storage is easy. It's also a really nice experience for non-divers.

Mary Jane...thanks...I am thinking of going this September...please tell me more...rooms nice? dives?...was there a DM (guide) on the dives...or were you on your own?

Did you do the 4/5/or 7 day trip?

How was the food? Had you been on other liveaboards? If so, how did this compare?

While you dive, does the crew than offer the non-divers various activities? How does that work?

Any additional info. you have would be greatly appreciated....thank you soooo much...

Hi: The food was good and plentiful....not gourmet....but good food for a liveaboard. I have been on a couple other liveaboards on the GBR and I liked this experience better. The non-divers had kayaks to use, could visit uninhabited beaches, snorkel, swim and join in with the Fijians for kava and singing. The rooms are not really great, mostly bunk beds with only one private room with it's on bathroom. I guess Tige, (the owner), is completely refitting the entire boat early next year and redoing the rooms. I was on the 4 night experience and we visited Savusavu, Taveuni, Qamea, Lathala, and Kio for a polyenesian dancing experience. The overall experience is great. Super diving. I have been talking with Tige about chartering the boat for an expedition cruise to the Lau group next year.......we would be diving unexplored dive sites in this incredibly beautiful and remote area South of Fiji. I see you are an instructor? Maybe you could put a group together and we could share the boat for this expedition? I am a dive wholesaler and we get additional discounts. Would love to work something out with you.

Feel free to email me direct if you need additional information: mjaugustine2000@yahoo.com.

Thanks!
