All,

I'm passing on information for the next Tucson R-TEAM (Raytheon) SCUBA Club's next dive to San Carlos, Mexico scheduled for Oct 1-3rd.

The air and the water are still warm at San Carlos, Mexico thus we have a great chance to dive one more time in our thin wet suits. Last weekend, in San Carlos, divers reported seeing not only the seal lions at San Pedro but dolphins and turtles. More reports of sea horses at San Antonio and of course the octopi. In August, we saw any large
schools of fish. The circulating schools of fish were over twenty feet in height. It was awesome. One of my dive buddies remarked it was like the running of the buffalo in the western movies.

The next R-TEAM SCUBA Club trip of the year is Oct 1st - 3rd. On the August trips the water temps were in 88-90. The first of October the water should be in the mid to high 80s so we should have great warm water diving!

The trip will consist of 2 days of 2-tank diving with one trip to San Pedro Island (conditions permitting). We plan to use Gary's FAST boat (Explorer) for both days on this trip so we will be able to make it to the island in good time to maximize diving and poolside-lounging times.
If there's interest we can also arrange a night dive or additional boat or beach diving for extra cost.

We are back to the normal diving schedule - depart Tucson early Friday morning and dive Saturday and Sunday mornings. We will caravan down, since it will be football season and no buses will be available.

The cost of the trip is $195 per person which includes diving,
accommodations at the Fiesta hotel (space permitting), breakfast, and tip for the boat crew. We need a minimum of 9 divers to offer this pricing. Transportation and other meals are extra. If you haven't paid your 2004 club annual dues ($5 pp for Raytheon employees and family members, $10 pp for non-employees) then I will need to add that to the
price of the trip.

*IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THE TRIP, SEND ME AN E-MAIL ASAP* so that we
can reserve the rooms. The full trip cost is due to me by Sept 16th. Please send a check payable to me at the address below. Please indicate whether you need a ride or can take riders.
I hope you will join us for this trip. San Carlos is always a great place to dive and the diving this year should be exceptional.

If you would like more information on San Carlos diving, Rodale's SCUBA
Diving magazine wrote the following
http://www.scubadiving.com/US/sancarlos.shtml and we have many other
links on the club web site at http://www.vancesystems.com/scuba/ under
San Carlos Info.

BTW, Catch the great marine life photos just added to the R-TEAM's web
site "Feature of the Month" section.
