I am a Phoenix area diver and I prefer trips that are individually planned over those offered through dive shops.
There are two Tucson-based dive groups twho set up trips. I want to pass on their information to share them with the scubaboard people.

Desert Dolphins
Meet every month on the third Wednesday 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm (Next is 8/20)
El Parador Restaurant - 2744 East Broadway, Tucson AZ
Happy hour begins at 6:00 pm, meeting at 7:00
Desert Dolphins Scuba Diving Club
Their planned trips/contact info. etc.
(Desert Divers shop seems to have some influence in this club.)
Oct 2nd-6th Dive one of the best Islands in the Sea of Cortez, with one of my favorite Skippers in Mexico!!! Cost $600-$700 pp depending upon number of Divers. Food, Soft drinks and Unlimited Diving Included!! Secure storage for your vehicle at Carl McDaniels house. Contact Ann Summervile at 520 762-9081 or 520 250-1842 for reservations.
May 9th - 16th, 2009 Dive the crystal clear water if the Bahamas onboard the Aquacat a spacious Catamaran. See Dolphins, Turtles and Healthy Reef systems!! How: Car caravan from Tucson
Cost: $275pp (double occupancy) at the Tetakawi Hotel
Included: Hotel, breakfast, 2 days of 2 tank diving and tip for dive operator.
Spaces Available: 16 Total
