Footage from our recent survey of the fish biodiversity in Tubbataha, including footage of the rarely dived lagoons. We have now recorded 520 species of fishes from the 2 atolls and the Jessie Beazley reef. The successful protection of Tubbataha is visible in the large fish biomass, biodiversity, in the large size of individual fish (versus the same species in other places in the Philippines), and the carefree way the fish go about their behaviors in the presence of humans.
