Just curious what most photographers use for their strobe connection; the wired TTL or the fiber optic cable.

I am guessing that most folks who are using wired sync cords are NOT using TTL. So I think you need a third choice. I use both

You need to clarify what you're asking. Fiber optic is a wiring method and TTL is a flash mode. Fiber optic and sync cable (hard wired) are one set of choices and TTL and manual are the other set.

So there are a number of choices (even more if you use film). I use fiber optics (mostly) to trigger my strobes. Sometimes I use the strobes in sTTL mode, but mostly in manual mode. Occasionally I use an electrical sync (Inon ringflash has no optical trigger) and for those times I connect through a Heinrichs TTL converter but mostly I use it in manual mode.
